Our Purpose
Through the Eyes of One was created by The Power of One to highlight thoughts and ideas of innovative social change agents and community allies from the global community -- people who bring to life creative, inclusive, and localized social actions on behalf of the greater good.
We will change our narrative of being those who are marginalized and replace it with those who have powers of being unified. We will transform the notion of being underrepresented and replace it with the reality that we are undeniably influential.
Our Goals
This journal is a space where every voice, every perspective, and every form of creative expression is embraced with open arms. Whether you have a tale to share or a vision for collective action, as long as it emanates from a place of authenticity and compassion, it has a home here.
Strengthen the power of community,
especially on behalf of those of us who are all too often forgotten, overlooked, or disregarded because of the circumstances we have endured and/or the identities with which we pride ourselves.
Provide safe space for conversation, growth, and empowerment
for visionary leaders and allies seeking to shift the narrative of what social change means and how we can make it happen sustainably and interdependently.
Expand the influence of simple human kindness
through thoughts, words, and deeds while remaining open to the internal exploration of our individual roles in the quickly evolving world around us at a time when news headlines only reinforce that we need all the help we can get!
